Every saga has a beginning…
One fateful night, Jeremy Belpois, switches on the mysterious computer inside an abandoned factory he had discovered several weeks before near the school. Nothing could have prepared him for what he would find flickering on the screens - a virtual damsel in distress. Jeremy starts researching the Supercomputer and its contents. Before long, he becomes the target of strange electronic attacks, undoubtedly linked to the newly-functioning machine. Realizing he is in over his head, Jeremy confides in his roommate, Ulrich Stern so his friend can help him against the electronic attacks…and rescue the girl in the virtual world! And so the adventure begins! Before long, the two boys join forces with a new student, Odd Della Robbia, and the serious-looking Yumi Ishiyama, a Japanese girl. The gang finds themselves faced with an electronic offensive like none other – and, in an incredible journey into the virtual universe, penetrates into a world of danger never imagined. They now realize that turning on the Supercomputer has inadvertently awakened a powerful enemy: X.A.N.A. – an evil artificial intelligence which wants to destroy them. Together, our newfound heroes make a pact to continue the struggle against X.A.N.A. and to keep their secret from the prying eyes of others!

Straight to heart

A new school year begins. Back from their relatively quiet summer vacation, our heroes quickly find themselves back at odds with XANA. The diabolical artificial intelligence has raised the stakes with a new strategy of attack: wipe Lyoko off the digital map by destroying a sphere located in a yet undiscovered chamber in Sector 5. In effect, to rip out the heart of the virtual world itself! Meanwhile, Odd finds to his dismay that he is not in the same class as Jeremy, Ulrich and Aelita. What a disaster! But Odd also stumbles across a little-known tidbit of historical information from Jim’s past that might help him out: Jim once starred in a disco dance film… and the gym teacher doesn’t want the students at Kadic Academy to find out. Armed with this secret, Odd decides to blackmail Jim to get himself reassigned into his friends’ class…

Lyoko Minus One

It’s time to elect a Class Delegate to the Academic Council… Jeremy, thinking that his only adversary in the contest will be Hervé, is confident of victory. But he finds himself up against an unexpected dark horse in the electoral race: Odd! In fact, his friend and classmate has decided to throw his hat in the ring in order to represent students like himself: the blockheads! Elsewhere, our heroes discover that XANA has a worrisome new plan: to destroy all of the surface sectors on Lyoko – which are the only means for the band of warriors to access Sector 5. With no points of entry, XANA will be able to pursue its objective of destroying the entire virtual universe unimpeded! In the course of these exploits, Jeremy will have his work cut out for him: in addition to running for office, he’ll have to find some way to virtualize his friends directly into Sector 5!

Tidal Wave

XANA has found a way to raise the level of the digital sea, thus “flooding” Lyoko. The result: our heroes access to Sector 5 is blocked… Naturally, XANA takes advantage of the situation to launch a potentially fatal attack on the Heart of Lyoko. Jeremy had better figure out something fast! Meanwhile back at the academy, it’s “Nutritional Awareness” day. In order to guarantee the students well-balanced meals, Rosa Littlejohn has to create a whole new, “light-and-healthy” menu in the cafeteria. This new regimen hardly passes muster regarding Odd’s appetite, much less his taste… and the famished teen finds himself trying to get by on an empty stomach (an equally difficult task on Lyoko and at the academy)! A disaster in the making for such a voracious eater…

False Lead

A secret government agency known as “The Division” discovers that Jeremy has hacked into their computer system. Alerted to this infraction, the agency sends two men to Kadic Academy. In the course of their investigation, the two agents find the factory and the Supercomputer. Overwhelmed by their discovery, they plan to shut down the machine in order to better pore over its function. But at the same time, XANA launches an attack on Lyoko. Our heroes are forced to do battle on all fronts: in the computer lab, to keep the agents from shutting the Supercomputer down, and on Lyoko, to counter XANA’s attack…

Aelita

Aelita can’t accept that her father is gone. She confides in Jeremy, telling him of her gnawing obsession: what if Franz Hopper is still alive somehow, somewhere on Lyoko? What if there was a way to bring him back? But Jeremy, preoccupied with other problems, refuses to bite: to him, Aelita’s father is dead and gone. Disappointed, Aelita stubbornly decides to take matters into her own hands, forsaking Jeremy’s help. Rallying Odd to her cause, she and Odd go to the factory and virtualize themselves into Sector 5. Aelita hopes to uncover information there as to the possible whereabouts of her father but the pair’s entry doesn’t go unnoticed by XANA, who immediately begins an assault…

The Pretender

Hiroki’s friend Johnny has a crush on Yumi. Shy and inexperienced with girls, he seeks advice on winning her over from… Ulrich. Our jealous advisor purposely misguides the poor youth into tenaciously hanging around Yumi, claiming that she finds such attention irresistible when in fact Yumi can’t stand being crowded. Johnny innocently heeds Ulrich’s advice with the best of intent, to the surprise and extreme irritation of the object of his affections. All of which would make for a simple harmless anecdote… until XANA attacks. In a Hitchcockian scenario, all of the birds around Kadic Academy and its region turn against our heroes… and particularly against Yumi, unable to help on Lyoko, as her suitor shadow Johnny won’t let her out of his sight. As such, our heroine is seriously wounded. Aelita, Ulrich and Odd must act quickly to deactivate the tower on Lyoko and launch a “Return to the Past” to save their friend …

The Secret

When William sees Yumi out in the street in the middle of the night, his curiosity is piqued. He’s determined to find out what she’s up to! He starts investigating and discovers the factory and comes bursting into the computer lab where Jeremy is busily working. Our local Einstein immediately prepares a “return to the past” to make William forget his new discovery. Unfortunately, just before he can launch it, a tower is activated on Lyoko… XANA has launched an attack and it’s impossible to go back to the past before the tower is deactivated! A witness to all of our heroes’ secret activities, William ends up lending a hand… and proving himself particularly brave and worthy. This only begs the question: could now be the right time to recruit a new Lyoko warrior?…

Temporary Insanity

Returning from a mission in Sector 5, Ulrich and Odd find themselves victims of a peculiar phenomenon: even though they are back in the real world, they believe they are still on Lyoko, fighting against XANA’s monsters. To them, the Headmaster appears to be nothing but a horrible Megatank which must be eliminated; in their eyes, Jim, Sissi and the other students are just Krabs or Roaches that must be wiped out… Jeremy finds a way to return the pair to their senses but the two “crazies” have been hospitalized and getting them out of the hospital will be no small feat. To make matters worse, the clock is ticking as XANA has launched an attack in Sector 5 to destroy the Heart of Lyoko…

Sabotage

One morning, Jeremy notices that a man possessed by XANA has sabotaged the Supercomputer. It will be destroyed beyond repair if Jeremy doesn’t fix it, and fast! The youth makes tracks toward the computer lab… but is cornered by Jim, who reminds Jeremy that it happens to be the day for dorm inspection! Jeremy goes ashen: he has had absolutely no time or opportunity to clean his disaster zone of a room… and Jim refuses to let him go before it is taken care of! Aelita dashes to the factory in his stead to try and repair the Supercomputer, but XANA raises the stakes by activating a tower and sending an attack aimed at Yumi, Odd and Ulrich. Aelita finds herself confronted with a double mission: she must get to Lyoko to deactivate the tower and save her friends and repair the Supercomputer before it’s too late!

Nobody in Particular

Jeremy believes he’s finally found a way to materialize his friends directly into Sector 5. Ulrich is tapped to be the Guinea pig to test it out. All begins as planned until Jeremy notices that Ulrich never appears in Sector 5. He has simply… vanished. An atmosphere of calamity and depression sets in. In fact, what Jeremy and the others don’t realize is that Ulrich has only lost his “corporal envelope”: reduced to a SPECTER, unable to communicate, Ulrich is in fact present – not in body but in spirit – but he is invisible to his friends. The only way Ulrich will be able to communicate with the others and explain the problem is to possess somebody else’s body – which he does. Once informed and reassured, Jeremy starts programming an application to hunt for Ulrich’s body. But it’s not that easy… especially when XANA ups the ante by starting an attack!

Triple Trouble

Odd is frustrated: on Lyoko, Ulrich, Aelita and Yumi all have special powers while he has nothing but his lousy laser darts. In an attempt to cheer his buddy up, Jeremy cooks up a new special power just for Odd: TELEPORTATION. Now thanks to Jeremy, Odd can instantly transfer himself across short distances in the virtual world. But the program still has a bug in it: when odd returns to the scanner room after the initial test, there is not just ONE Odd but … THREE! Fortunately, Jeremy finds the solution to the problem: he must put all three Odds in the scanners and “fuse” them back into one. But this turns out to be more complicated than he initially anticipated: the terrible triplets don’t get along so well and they have split up in town. And to top it off, XANA goes on the attack…

Double Trouble

Our heroes are exhausted and overwhelmed. Their lives have been taken over by their work keeping XANA at bay… wreaking a disastrous toll on their academics. Bad marks, summons to meet with the Headmaster, probation… Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich and Aelita need help and suggest once again to add William to the gang, but Yumi categorically refuses: he’s too much of a hothead! He would only put them all at risk!… Meanwhile, XANA goes on a particularly vicious attack. Our heroes are about to undergo a most trying adventure with a dramatic end. Will Yumi’s negative take on William finally change?…

Final Round

William has joined the gang of Lyoko warriors. He can’t wait to go into his first combat to take on XANA and the virtual monsters! The others try to curb his enthusiasm: XANA is a far more dangerous adversary that William can imagine. At that, each of them returns to manage their academic demands. But quickly XANA goes on an attack to wipe out Lyoko once and for all. For one reason or another, Jeremy, Odd, Ulrich and Yumi all find themselves unable to leave Kadic Academy. Only William and Aelita are able to go to Lyoko to fight against XANA, and so they do. But once William arrives in Sector 5, he lets his bravado get the better of him and ignores Aelita’s advice. As a result, the pair is separated and XANA is able to take possession of the boy. When Yumi, Ulrich and Odd finally make their way to Sector 5, they find themselves pitted against William who has become the super-powerful general of XANA’s army. They must fight against him to spare the Heart of Lyoko from certain destruction… can they do it before it’s too late?
