Yumi
Ishiyama is a 14-year-old Japanese girl, and a grade ahead of Jeremie, Odd, and Ulrich. Her age gives her the title of the
"mature" one of the group, who looks after the younger members, in a way. Although sometimes a bit short-tempered, she is
very smart and nice. Just remember to stay on her good side, though, because she doesn't take guff from anyone. (Get ready
for a fist in your face if you tick her off... or at least a couple pretty nice insults.) She also seems to have a few mutual
"feelings" for Ulrich, though neither of them seem to have the guts to admit anything to the other.
In the real world, she wears a black turtleneck sweater that has long sleeves and exposes her navel. She also wears black
pants, and a pair of boots that look like they'd really hurt if you got kicked by them. In Lyoko, she sports a geisha-like
outfit with a short flowered dress over red tights and boots that go up past her knees.
Notes:
- Yumi's parents have been known to have a somewhat unstable relationship.
- In season one, Yumi had a stuffed "Totoro" pillow in her room. (Totoro is a character from an anime move by Hayao Miyazaki...
look for it on Google for more info.) In season two, she doesn't appear to have the pillow anymore. Go figure.
- Yumi is very protective of Ulrich, and whenever someone gets in between the two of them, she gets really mad...
- In Odd's band, Yumi is the lead singer.
- Yumi practices martial arts with Ulrich from time to time.
- Season two rather clumsily introduced a new character-- Yumi's little brother, who's name is Hiroki and who appears to
be about nine or ten.
